Frequently asked questions

Does it work on a static website?

Yes. You only need the form’s HTML, even on a site without PHP or an AI-built landing page. If you submit with JavaScript, you receive a JSON response with ok and display your own confirmation.

Do I need to change the HTML when moving from another form service?

Usually not: we recognise the special fields _subject, _replyto, _next and _gotcha. Change the action address and send a test.

How do I stop bot submissions?

Use the _gotcha honeypot field, hidden from visitors, and the anti-bot filter you enable in your customer area.

Where can I see the messages?

In your mailbox and the archive in your customer area, where you can export them as CSV. You can enable an automatic reply to the person who writes.

Other services have a free plan. What does this cost?

Website forms are included in the SMTP Senpai free plan, with no card and no expiry. For more volume, paid plans start at €12.90 a month for 10,000 emails on the annual plan (VAT excluded). Form emails use the same sending allowance as your other emails. It makes sense if you also need SMTP and API: they are in the same plan.
