Email spam test: how does your message score?
Leave your work email and get a test address. Send your message there: in a few seconds you see a score from 0 to 10 and, for every check, what to fix.
- Free, 3 tests a day
- A real spam filter, not a word list
- What to fix, in order
Three steps, a couple of minutes
Leave your email
We show you a test address right away, valid for 24 hours. You also get it by email.
Send your message
From the program you normally use: newsletter tool, CRM, website or app. A real email, the same your customers get.
Read the score
From 0 to 10, with every check explained and the things to fix in order of importance.
What we look at in your message
Authentication
SPF, DKIM and DMARC: does the email really come from your domain?
Blocklists
The sending IP and the domains in the message, on the lists we query.
Sending server
Reverse name, server greeting, encrypted connection.
Headers
Message-ID, date, sender and one-click unsubscribe.
Content
Plain-text part, text to image balance, shortened links, HTML errors, size.
Filter verdict
The verdict of a real spam filter (rspamd), with every rule that fired and its points.
The score describes how your message looks. It is not a promise of inbox placement: every mailbox provider decides on its own, also from how recipients treated your past emails.
Frequently asked questions
How does the spam test work?
You leave your work email and get a test address. Send the message you want to test there: our mail server receives it, runs it through the spam filter and within seconds the page shows the score with every check.
Where does the score come from?
It starts at 10 and loses points for every failed check. The checks are real: the verdict of an actual spam filter (rspamd, the same one protecting our own mail), SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, blocklists, headers and the structure of the message. We do not use lists of forbidden words.
Does a high score mean I reach the inbox?
No. The score says the message looks right, but every mailbox provider decides on its own, also from how recipients treated your past emails.
What do you do with the email I send?
A program analyses it, not a person. The message stays 24 hours on our mail server in the EU and is then deleted. Only someone with the link you get by email can see the result. After 24 hours we keep only the score and the short outcome.
Why do you need a company email?
The test is about emails sent from your own domain: with a Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook address you would be measuring their service, not yours. You can run up to 3 tests a day.
What if your server rejects my email?
We tell you, with the reason. Our mail server, like many, refuses right away emails that fail DMARC when the domain asks for rejection and those coming from a server with no reverse name. In that case the test shows why it was rejected and what to fix, without the content analysis.
Can I test a newsletter?
Yes. From your newsletter tool send a preview or a test send to the address we give you: that way the test sees the same headers and signature as your real emails.
