Frequently asked questions
Which OpenCart versions are supported?
OpenCart 4.0.2 and 4.1, and OpenCart 3.0. It was tested on 3.0.3.9, 3.0.5.1, 4.0.2.3 and 4.1.0.4 with PHP 8.3. It is not compatible with versions 4.0.0.0 to 4.0.1.1.
Why must the OpenCart 4 zip keep its name?
Because OpenCart 4 takes the extension code from the file name: it must stay smtp_senpai.ocmod.zip.
Does the extension change the files of the store?
No. It does not change OpenCart files and it does not touch the mail engine saved in the settings: if you turn it off or uninstall it, the store goes back to its own engine by itself.
Can I do without the extension?
Yes, with the details shown here in System › Settings, Mail tab. The tls:// prefix before the server turns on STARTTLS on port 2525 or 587.
