Four details, and your emails go out
They are the same for every program: you also find them, already filled in, in your customer area.
The sender must be on a domain verified in your area: otherwise the server refuses to send. For SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, use the free email DNS checker.
Three steps
Install an SMTP plugin
WP Mail SMTP, FluentSMTP or Post SMTP: in each one choose «Other SMTP».
Enter the 4 details
Server, port 2525, TLS encryption (STARTTLS), authentication with the username and password from the customer area.
Send a test
Use the plugin’s test email: the SMTP Senpai log shows right away whether it was delivered.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with WooCommerce?
Yes: WooCommerce uses WordPress’s mail function, so order confirmations and invoices go through the SMTP plugin.
Which sender should I use?
An address on your domain verified in SMTP Senpai, such as [email protected]. Force it in the plugin so no other plugin changes it.
Do contact form emails go through it?
Yes, Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms and Elementor use WordPress’s mail function.
Can I use port 587?
SMTP Senpai listens on port 2525 with STARTTLS: it stays open even on hosts that block the classic ports.
